BUYER INFORMATION

Dotta Auction Company has been conducting auctions for over 50 years during which our business model was modified to fully utilize advantages offered by the internet. We now perform all auctions online through either HiBid for our online auctions or LiveAuctioneers for our Doll auctions. These are two of the best known and well respected online auction systems. 

Registration: Buyers for our online auctions must register at HiBid (for online bidding). Buyers for our Doll auctions must either register at LiveAuctioneers (for online bidding) or register in person with valid ID (for in-house bidding at our Nazareth Auction Center, 330 W. Moorestown Road, Nazareth, PA). Each online registration is reviewed by Dotta Auction Company and, after approval, the buyer receives a “Bidder Approval” email. Real estate auctions are typically conducted on location where registration is accepted the day of the auction.

Terms & Conditions: When registering online at either HiBid or LiveAuctioneers, the buyer agrees to the Terms & Conditions which cover items such as bidding increments, buyer premium, sales tax, payment, shipment, etc. Real estate auctions have specific Terms & Conditions which are listed in the description of the auction (for example, as a PDF enclosure). Carefully review the Terms & Conditions before bidding in any auction since more information is there than listed on this web page.

Inspection: All items are sold "as-is". Buyers should inspect items beforehand and bid according to their expertise. Date(s) for inspection will be listed within the details of the auction.

Bidding: Online auctions open for bidding a week or two before the auction's close date. During this time a buyer may submit bids for as many items as they like. On the auction's closing date, if a bid is received within the final moments for the close of an item, the bidding time is extended. When no further bids are received, the item is SOLD! and the next item goes into the closing process. Onsite auctions (i.e., Dolls & real estate) are only open for bidding on the day of the auction during which items are presented in order by our live / onsite auctioneer. For our Doll auctions, the highest bidder can be either online (via LiveAuctioneers) or within our in-house audience.

Payment: For all online auctions, payment is processed through the buyer’s credit card on file. For our in-house Doll auctions, payment may be made with cash, credit card, or certified check. Personal checks are only accepted with a good credit history and a photo ID. There is a $35.00 charge for a returned check; in addition, check writing privileges are lost.
